Injectoplast Chennai plant has been awarded the most prestigious
Q1 award from Ford
Motor Company on 26th November,
2007. Our M.D. Mr. Arun Kumar Shah received this award from the
Ford management team including the President & Managing Director of Ford
India Mr. Arvind Mathew, the Purchasing Director of Ford Asia Pacific Mr. Keith
Cooper, as a note of recognition for the efforts put by our team with respect to
the improvements made in the field of Quality, Delivery and
Manufacturing facility.
This Q1 award is a special award in the automotive industry and is
given to very few organizations which are supplying consistently good quality
components to Ford directly as a Tier-1 supplier. It is a perpetual assessment
system which keeps a supplier always on its toes to maintain their performance
w.r.t. quality, delivery, EMS etc.
Injectoplast is among those few companies who is recognized by Ford
for this auspicious award. The criteria for this award are very tough to
achieve. The supplier should be ISO/TS 16949 & ISO 14001 certified as a
minimum qualification. Apart from this, supplier should also achieve Green
rating in MSA (Manufacturing Site Assessment) and MMOG (Material Management
Operational Guidelines) audits being conducted by Ford team.
Injectoplast has maintained 0 PPM and 100% delivery to
Ford, North America in the last year supplies, which
contributed in winning the above award.
Injectoplast is in direct business with Ford for the
last 2 years, supplying different types of Grab and Assist handles, Speaker
Grills, Battery Covers, HVAC cover and other interior hard trim parts to Ford
India
as well as to its plants in North
America.
